Reviews For Tapestry of Pain
There's an absolutely ominous and heart-breaking accuracy in how he imagined the colors. Most poignant and well written. You made my heart reach out to Maedhros.
Gosh, thank you so much! If my writing gets a reader to empathize, I feel really successful.
I'd never heard of pain-induced synaesthesia before, but this was an interesting read... disturbing (as you'd expect with torture), but what stuck out to me was how fitting the colours seemed to the respective sensations.
Thanks for your comment. I'm not synesthetic as such, but as a person with migraines and other chronic pain who quickly tires of "on a scale of one to ten...", I have sometimes tried to explain what I feel in terms of color. That's how I got the idea, and then I transposed/intensified the experience to make it relevant to Maedhros.
So impressive...Yes, I think he could feel it like that...
Thank you! Writing this was a bit of an experiment; I'm glad it worked for you.
