Title: Edrahil of Nargothrond

Even though Edrahil has such a small presence in the texts, still you manage to present a clear view of his character, and the power struggle in Nargothrond.
I find your interpretation of the change in Celegorm and Curufin behavior, from guests to usurpers and havoc makers, very interesting.
Before reading this bio, I simply attributed it to their hunger of power. I forgot the possible influence of the oath.

The character of Edrahil shines thru this bio as an admirable, loyal, wise subject/ adviser/ follower, who not merely follows his lord, but has a strong voice to which his lord listens to (passing the office to Orodreth).

The last part about the meaning of the name is very interesting thou I think it wouldn't matter from internal-story POV, whether Edrahil is Sindar or Noldorin. Either way, there are strong points in favor of his character and Finrod's

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for reading, Scarlet and leaving a comment. I am glad you found it useful and coherent! I suppose if I were sure Edrahil were Sindar and not Noldor, it might every so slightly change the way I view Finrod. Subtly but a little.

Even with a minor character like Edrahil, you give us much food for reflection!
