Comments For Character of the Month Biographies
I know exact;y what you mean about thinking you've picked an easy/quick one to write and "seven hours later . . ." I'm forever doing that. You found some good stuff though. It was worth the effort.
Hello! Thank you for bringing together facts of one of my fav intriguing characters, whi should be there, but are just mentioned. Or maybe he is one of my fav for being so blank card can be filled with whatever I want ;) Which reminds me I haven't checked how is your Ingwë for ages, got to check stories one day. Your Aman is not my Aman, but is a fascinating place to read about. Cheers!
Thanks. I've posted a few new chapters of the Valinor story in recent months, and though Ingwe hasn't appeared yet, he will be showing up soon.
Oh, brilliant! Ingwë is one of those characters I remembered ever so vaguely, and I was struggling to piece together who was who in your current WIP. So it comes at a great time (probably no coincidence...). Not for the first time, it's "a great wonderment to me" that another fascinating character gets edited out or pared to the bone in the published version of the Silmarillion, so it's great that you have "rediscovered" him.
"Teleri was the original clan name for the Vanyar. Those who later became known as the Teleri were at this time called the Solosimpi." Thanks for including that note, for a moment I thought I had amnesia.
Thank you, Darth!
EDIT: It keeps posting the review in the wrong place, it is meant to go under the Ingwë bio.
Hmm, yeah, I should probably admit to a certain self-serving interest in writing this. I actually came across a number of interesting and previously unknown facts about Ingwe in particular and Vanyar in general, all of which will be worked into the Damn Valinor Story.
Thanks! This is great: a character that I for one know very little about. So glad to have the information handy.
I thought this would be an easy bio to write, since I was under the impression that there was little to know about Ingwe in general. Seven hours later...
