Notes:
The OFC in this story has been featured one other time in the author’s works, in a drabble titled “Earth” under the drabble collection called “Spectrums.” Regarding the strange perception of things like “wind,” “Dwarves,” “Elves” and some other things, the author was doing it deliberately, to hopefully set the tone of being in a Dwarven female’s point of view.
The over-protectiveness shown below ties to the fact that there are just a few female Dwarves born to the race, so the author imagined that they would be severely protected. As peaceful as Beleriand was at that time, after all, who would say that loose minions of Melkor would not have acted in the absence of their overlord?
