This is a sequel to my first tale, (Maitimo and Findekáno), in my cycle of stories recounting the life-long relationship between Fingon and Maedhros. It occurs after the definitive fracture between the Houses of Feanor and Fingolfin and the flight of the Noldor to Middle-earth. Beginning immediately after Fingon’s rescue of Maedhros from the cliffs of Thangorodrim, it tells of how Fingon and Maedhros reunite and together resolve to heal the divisions among the Noldor. Summary:
This is a birthday gift for Kenaz. A ficlet involving Maglor and Maedhros, which is set in the Time of the Trees in Formenos, at the home of Fëanor and his wife and sons. It is set in the same universe as my story Maitimo and Findekáno and occurs a couple of years earlier. I hope it is obvious from the ficlet that Maedhros and Maglor are very young adults and Fingon is the equivalent of a teenager. (There is a reference to slash in this piece but no sexual content.)

Summary: This story is old, but I never posted it here before, because I wasn’t sure it would rightly be considered Silmfic. In the April 2009 Newsletter Dawn posted some guidelines, which included this among several examples of stories that might be considered Silmfic: "The Mirkwood Elves consider their own customs and traditions as compared to what is described in Laws and Customs among the Eldar . . . . " I laughed when I read that. Because this story, which she has never seen, contains exactly that. Nothing graphic in this humorous tale, but the entire story is a discussion of sexual mores with references to past sexual experiences both het and slash. Written in response to the LACE and the Culture and Sexuality challenges at HASA. Contains various well-known characters from Lord of the Rings, in addition to The Silmarillion characters. (Apologies for such a long note for a short story and not a serious one at that!)
