Bio:

Hello, I am mainly interested in Pr. Tolkien’s works, The Lord of the rings, The hobbit, The Silmarillion, etc.

Chiara is a nostalgic of Middle-Earth, who tirelessly travels the road that goes ever on ... In her cozy smial, she reads her comrades tales, and sometimes ventures into the wilderness to bring back her own treasures ...

A newcomer at fan fictions, I published only one book, but in two tongues. French is my mother language, hence you may notice some awkward English in my writings. Sorry for that. Any suggestion will be welcome, to achieve a neater prose while I finish the translation. By the way,  if anyone is keen on alliterative poetry, I would like someone who can give a hand to translate my poems : rhymes are a nightmare for me !

Disclaimer

Oh, and it goes without saying the universe and the main characters are Pr. Tolkien's legacy!

My petty manifesto

Once Pr. Tolkien said : « Do not laugh! But once upon a time (my crest has long since fallen) I had a mind to make a body of more or less connected legends ranging from the large and cosmogonic to the level of romantic fairy-story The cycles should be linked to a majestic whole, and yet leave scope for other minds and hands, wielding paint and music and drama. Absurd! »

So why not? The requirements one impose on oneself for writing, often turn into some kind of inspiration. Maybe it is the driving essence of the "thematic challenges" sometimes proposed by some communities. Respecting Pr. Tolkien's milestones, finding among his characters and events, some virgin spaces, new links, unprecedented developments that bear their own unity while contributing to the whole painting, is both -in my view - a laborious modesty, useful for fully apprehending the hidden meaning of his work, and a practical trick for firing up creativity. In some way, rooting in Tolkien's soil allows our wings to explore the next page!

But of course everyone has her/his own opinion. I just meant to let you know.

Have a nice time in my non-slash, non cross-over, non-alternate stories !

The Greenbook of Tuckborough by Chiara Cadrich

Rated: Teens | [Reviews - 1]
Summary:

How a wizard boxed the Old Took's ears and finally pushed him into a faery's arms. Gerontius Took, a saucy and irreverent young hobbit, is taken out of the Shire to be taught what a decent life is all about...

A tribute to Tolkien, with most of the exercices in style we owe him, but contradicting none of his writings: an adventure starting on a porch in the Shire, hobbits, giants, dunedain, goblins, elves, ents, trolls, eagles…, a visit to Imladris, an epic story about duty and fate, riddles,… and a ring!
