They have all settled down in the living room after dinner, and Salakanto is mindlessly strumming his harp, thoughts drifting on the evening breeze. He isn’t paying much attention to the song he is playing, only looking up when he hears Talminalma giggle softly.
Laurendil is trying to guide Rōka through the steps of a waltz and failing miserably while Rōka’s spouse looks on in amusement.
Laurendil sighs deeply. “You truly do have two left feet. Alma, how can you stand it?!” She pokes Rōka in the chest. “You are a terrible dancer. But I love you anyway.”
Rōka laughs.
