Sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. I'm glad they had a last time together (because it'll be a loooong time before they meet again) and that Fingon managed to make Maedhros smile (however unintentionally). It's the best gift Fingon could have given him. It's clear here Maedhros really trusts Fingon.
