So Sauron must have known Celebrimbor before, and he is returning to him after he was destroyed on Numenor?

It seems to fit him quite well to be reembodied first as a wolf, before he can turn "human" again. And his thoughts, well... I wouldn't want to be his friend ^^"

May I say Celebrimbor has no sense of self preservation?

He could have since Númenor and Ost-in-Edhil had commercial relationships. Of course, this would only be possible if Sauron had used a different face in Númenor than he had as in Annatar - which I think he did. But yes, this is an AU where Númenor fell first, so Sauron "returns" from Númenor as a wolf and casually? meets Celebrimbor again - who, in turn, cares two shits if he lives or dies, because his heart was bare </3 haha thanks for the comment, Cal! <3
