Fanwork Notes

Written for the On A Different Page challenge for the prompt: "There are in any case many heroes but very few good dragons." ~ "Beowulf: The Monsters and the Critics"

(I think I stuck the words together right for the dragon's name, but I'm not overly concerned about it because this is a Very Silly Fic.)

Earwen sees her worst fears about the egg come to life. I love how logical Finrod is about the question of whether the dragon would be dangerous or not. And Laurenare's innocent "Why would I want to hurt anyone?" is really sweet.

The startled hobbits plus Elrond were wonderful. (I find it also very amusing that at the -- to humans -- uncharted land in the west there really are drangons -- or at least one.)

This was so fun to read! Finarfin bringing a simple souvenir from Middle-earth. What could possibly go wrong? I love the idea that the dragon imprinted on Finarfin and greeted him as his father. Awww, so cute.
