Femslash Bingo Fills for the Flowers and Their Meanings Card for Femslash Week 2016
Thuringwethil is a villain who appears in the tale of Beren and Lúthien. For a relatively obscure character, who appears only briefly and is mentioned but four times by name in The Silmarillion, she is known among readers and perhaps viewed as an intriguing creature or one whom readers love to hate.
Drabbles set during the First and Second Ages of Middle-earth. (Exactly 100 words as counted by MS Word.) Please see table of contents for individual summaries and warnings.
Thuringwethil's thoughts as she prepares to attack Luthien.
Who were Ulfang's people, and why did they betray the Elves? The truth as seen by Uldor, Caranthir, and Ulfang's granddaughter.
Various short pieces.
Newest (3/19/16):
"Ammë": Curufin and Celebrimbor struggle with the absence of Celebrimbor's mother.
Sauron battles Luthien the great hound Huan for Tol Sirion and loses everything but the shirt on his back. No, make that everything.
Lúthien lives with Beren as an immortal until his time runs out. Someone's been waiting, of course, and is there to catch her when she starts falling apart. Or when she gets into fights with Orcs.
(AU: Beren didn't die, meaning there was no trip to Mandos, meaning Lúthien is still immortal.)
For the International Day of Femslash.
A series of femslash drabbles based around the daily prompts of the 2013 Femslash Yuletide project. Some ficlets for the 2014 run have been added.
She felt her other half’s presence since before her first breath, and she was her most ancient friend.
Thuringwethil pays a visit to someone she once knew. (Rather onesided Lúthien/Thuringwethil).
Tells the story of the rise and fall of the two dark lords, from the collapse of the fortress in Tol-in-Gaurhoth, to the collapse of Barad-dûr, and what came next. Mainly told from Melkor and Sauron's perspective. Continuation of my other fic: "The Burnt God", though it may be read separately. Occasional slash (mainly Melkor x Sauron)
Bereft of her guise, Thuringwethil remembers the fair Lúthien.
Written for Elleth for 2013 My Slashy Valentine
A collection of drabbles found in the ruins of Utumno during the years of Melkor's captivity, written for various tolkien_weekly challenges. I am greatly indebted to the ever-awesome ignoblebard, who very generously nominated this series for MEFA 2011, thereby spurring me to get on with actually writing it. ♥
