Ah, lovely little look into Gil-galad and Glorfindel. I don't believe I have read them paired before, or not often, but I do think they go together very well - there are very few I can mentally pair either with except one another (not being a fan of Elrond/Gil-galad)

I am afraid it is mainly my very tepid interest in Elrond, which when the films came out was reduced to nothing by Hugo Weaving. (Who looks nothing like I imagined Elrond). I did read one story where Elrond was depicted as looking nothing like Hugo Weaving, and I liked that, but there's just no initial interest in the character for me, really. :
