I really appreciate these insights from Adar's pov and love your 'rehumanising' of the Uruks.
(I haven't seen this episode yet, but I think I'm rather going to appreciate this scene that much more when I get to it!)
Thank you! I needed to write this after watching the episode to get more into his head. Adar is now one of my favourite characters. (It feels slightly scary to write for an ongoing show, about a character I don't have all the information about XD.)
I'm so glad you did write it. And it really doesn't matter where the show heads off to, your story arc has its own life and flavour independent of it anyway, and I think you really add depth that is sorely lacking in the show. So I'll continue gratefully reading any fics you share!
Adar is my favorite character from the show and you explored his perspective so beautifully! I love how you show the conflict between his two identities, and what ultimately leads him to choose his alliegiance. You've managed to say so much in such a few words, I'd love to see more of your thoughts on Adar in future fics!
Thank you! I'm happy you like it. Adar was such a pleasant surprise in the show and I enjoy writing him. (I've started a fic on his life in the First Age but it's still in the beginning stages.)
