Yavanna sat within the confines of the Máhanaxar, waiting. Half her mind was on the proceedings going on within the circle of tall-backed thrones, but the rest of her awareness was in the soil; in the dead earth; in the desiccated plant life; in the fields of dead wheat. This was the end, they hoped, of the upheaval lack of light brought to her children, the last time they would have to collaborate to create light. The end of the long night that Melkor-brother wrought. Valinor would be a land of eternal summer, her siblings had promised. Manwë gave his final charge to Arien-daughter and Tilion-son. They were blessed by Vána and Oromë, then disappeared to take up their vessels that they would shepherd through the heavens. Light seeped over the horizon, silver streaming as eager Tilion ran. Yavanna sang, her children breathed again, fed by the light once again.
