There certainly is something recalcitrant about inspiration. Sometimes it only comes when you have already concluded it won't, and often it takes surprising swerves and twists.

Oh no, poor Maeglin! This is great fun, and I very much sympathise with him - I can't seem to get started with Matryoshka challenges either! I do hope he'll try next month's challenge instead - perhaps with art rather than writing? :) 

Oh, this was hilarious! And unexpected - I’m glad that the news of the SWG monthly challenges have reached Gondolin. But perhaps Maeglin should try drawing next, sounds like he has some skill in that. I loved the crackfic and meta aspects.
