Moonlight picks out the face of one beloved,

Of someone who stands far above the rest.

Now I return, in love though not wisest,

Receive the gifts I bring; and do not run

Unless it be to me - for I am done

Denying, so I seek your cosy fire.

Here I would stay, beside my heart's desire.
