I am delighted to find out more about  Dernodhos and her blanket.

The early history of the blanket, it seems, could perhaps be partly symbolic, rather than literally true, as the use you make of the first prompt perhaps suggests.

Either way, it is a very precious gift of a story passed on with the blanket from Dernodhos's mother!

There is clearly more interesting background that you could unfold here, when the opportunity allows, as the intriguing hints about Dernodhos's father and her mother's feelings.

But it feels very emotionally satisfying that it ends with Echeleb's offered support.!

Just wanted to jump over here, having read this on AO3 last night, to add that the connection to the tapestry fragment blanket Dernodhos put over Anniavas was wonnderful.
