thank you so much for reading & commenting!  I haven't written much Elwing before, and this is truly more of a concept I whipped up in the frenzy of instadrabbling, rather than deeply thought out character work, but I do like to think that she would be sort of baffled by these Gondolin Elves.  And also lonely enough to befriend them anyway.  

Oh lord! *rolls eyes back at Elwing*

(Although I can understand people being very desperate for some form of salvation after all they've been through, if it helps some of them to feel better in their hearts while they go about their practical work.)

Yes, my own beliefs (and lack of) would definitely line up more with Elwing than with the other characters in this story.  I feel like I'm still circling around the ideas I was trying to get at here, I want to revisit this concept some more.  Thank you for reading & commenting! <3
