Burdens Carried, Burdens Shared

prompt: ♥ love, sorry, forgotten, carry ♥ my lungs / ached, huge with breath and the harsh / sweetness of strange words

Haleth held lithe Aredhel to her bed with words as piercing as lace pins, Kisses landed on heaving breasts, on shuddering belly, on quivering thigh. Her lover’s body was a wonder, strong and supple and lissome under her own scarred, calloused hands. And the songs she sang under her tongue’s ministrations!

Her capacity for love was too large to fit in her chest, where her heart ached with longing and fear and bittersweet knowledge that even something so good would end in grief. Such was the burden she carried, selfish, unforgotten in her love of one of the immortal Eldar.
