Melian danced, the Music echoing in the space between the trees that would become the shadowy woods of Nan Elmoth in days when the names of places mattered. But that was far in the future; this joy was now. She danced, knowing and willing the eager eyes that watched her to come forth, to pass out of the shadows, into her orbit. Those eyes that echoed with the light and grace of the home of the Valar, that place she had willingly abandoned but never stopped yearning for. Rain fell, a soft patter against the leaves, and he emerged, smiling.
