The advent of daylight changed everything so dramatically for the Moriquendi. Even something as basic as the strong contrast between sunlit areas and shadows was so disorienting - and potentially deadly for anyone travelling the wilds. 

For one North Sinda hunter, before they became accustomed and adapted to the changes, sunlight was a pretty terrifying thing. So days when mists came down and clouds softened the glare of the sun were a welcome reprive.

Glad you like my thoughts about sunlight. I can just imagine those poor people in the first few days or maybe even weeks while they're getting used to the sunlight stepping high over shadows and stumbling into brightly things. It's not only their eyes that would need to adjust, but their brains.

Mine was referenced from a willow tree in Lake Wānaka in New Zealand which I saw in 2009, although the weather was not very photogenic so I didn't get the nice photo of it that I would have liked.
