Just came on to say again how much this collection is adding to your *Anestel* Glorfindel. He comes across so vividly. I love all these glimpses, from his impetuous and courageous youth, his acceptance of what he enjoys (that scene with Fingon simply crackles with UST) to his feelings of Turgon, to (so far) his rebirth which is the most powerful piece I have ever read concerning how an Elf must feel in the Halls of Mandos, and his soul being returned to his body. Just wonderful! I hope we see more.
Thank you so much, Siân! I'm still overwhelmed that you like my Glorfindel's story so much! And I'm really so pleased that the reincarnation story had the effect I had hoped it would! I've always thought that one day, Glorfindel will talk about these sort of things with Legolas, but until then, I'm glad that I get to explore more of his life via these prompts. :)
Well done! It shows so clearly how at this point all of them were unaccustomed to act as leaders in a military situation, despite the courage and determination they had already shown, and that how to handle actual warfare was a difficult lesson they were only just learning.
Thank you! The first engagements must have come as a shock, no matter how well they prepared for it. And of course, some things you can never truly prepare for...
Thank you! :) Even though nothing has changed, everything *is* changed and will never be the same again. That's of course true for all of us, but for Glorfindel it has become even more obvious here.
