You seem to be switching genres? You were experimenting with prose mixed with verse and now here is a poem (although you don't seem to have actually labelled it as poetry)! I think the form works very well. The description of the forging of the iron crown and Morgoth's pain and longing is telling.

Telling?  Clever!  No I am not switching genres as such, or abandoning that which I have started to forge elsewhere; however, the self imposed limitations of purely dialogue were/are proving a bit of a pain when expanding on any given idea or story thread.  Therefore, rather than grapple with this and get nowhere I've just diverted my gaze for a bit.  I am pleased my little poem worked OK...
