Fanwork Notes
Written for SWG's Birthday Contest. I used three prompts here:
1. 'This story begins and ends in joy.' from On Fairy-Stories
2. olibanum/incense
3. light vs. dark
I decided to interpret the final prompt a little differently. Since a lot of my writing for this 'verse is trying to show the other side of the story, exploring more the various non-Eurocentric cultures of Middle-earth, and thus having to deal with so many of the racial issues that bothered me with the canon, it was refreshing to create something more light-hearted, something where elves are being juvenile and innocent as they discuss skin color. This can very well take place in my main 'verse.
