Fëanor shrugged, studying the contents of his wine glass. “Something must be done about that house. It will fall down eventually.” “It does not follow that it must be you that tears it down single-handedly. Are you sure you do not want help?” “It’s not as though I…
Over the course of his very long life he had found a handful of messages in bottles, but it had been a very long time. So when he found the glass bottle on his little stretch of pebbly beach, he picked it up with the intention of tossing it into his recycling. But it wasn’t, he found, just…
This is my new poetical attempt to add my own interpretation to Tolkien's Cosmology as to Eru's Creation and the Valar's minds and behind-the-scene providence reasons and mechanisms.. I often review Eä as part of our own world, just in another dimension, this is why I have always seriously…
When uneasy dreams bring him back into Beleriand, Daeron finds a pair of twins who have lost their home, and an enemy who has lost himself. The Shadow's reach is growing ever longer, and if they are to survive, they must do it together.
Elrohir has been found after his long abduction by the Black Númenóreans of Umbar. He comes home to Rivendell, but all is not well: the Elf-child that was taken is now a Man grown. War and darkness have left Elrohir deeply scarred, and even at home there is danger...

I think Sauron is just enjoying boasting a little, and is to some extent trying to annoy Finrod into doing something stupid, or to cause trouble between him and Orodreth. Sauron isn't really expecting either of the latter to occur, but he likes showing off and making other people miserable. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the feedback.
Bwah! This is great! I'd somehow never imagined Sauron after having moved into Felagund's "house." It must have been interesting indeed. I definitely got a kick out of the requests for step stools! :^P
I'm glad you enjoyed it. There are so many potential stories embedded in the silmarillion it is impossible to think of them all. I am always running across things I never thought of when I read other people's stories. Thank you for the feedback.
I can see Finrod and Sauron having very different requirements when it comes to holding prisoners, so Sauron would have run into problems when he took over tol Sirion. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Brilliantly hilarious and tongue in cheek. I shudder to think what poor Finrod saw when he was made prisoner in his own fortress. Lots of step stools, certainly. :D
I'm glad you found it funny. I should really move walking into darkness up here. It contains the answers to your question, although it is a much darker story and entirely too serious.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm not planning on writing a follow-up letter at the present time but I have some other fix containing Finrod that I should probably move to this site at some point.
Oh, this is funny! I can just see the orcs on step stools (no wonder the uruk-hai felt so superior). And Sauron signing off with 'Have a nice day' was a nice touch.
