I am a high school science teacher who discovered Tolkien's books at the age of 12. I love everything he ever wrote (including incomprehensible [to me] linguistic essays), but especially his tales of the elves of the First Age. Finrod and Maedhros are my two favorites, though I also am a huge fan of Beren and Luthien, Eärendil, and Tuor.
