‘All right,’ said Galadriel, looking up at the stars. ‘Varda and Manwe, if you are doing that thing back there in Ilmarin, on your thrones, side-by-side, could you really, really not for a moment? I hate to be rude but I don’t like the idea of being seen or listened to right now. Not the first time, at least. The thought is extremely unrelaxing and you have to understand that I am more than a little nervous about this anyway…’
She lay down again beside Celeborn. ‘Not really sure whether that’s done it, but I had to try,’ she whispered.

When Manwë there ascends his throne and looks forth, if Varda is beside him, he sees further than all other eyes, through mist, and through darkness, and over the leagues of the sea.
