He knew
Read He knew
Celegorm suddenly felt like he was suffocating.
There was no reason for that: he was in his room in Himring and he had no reason to feel like he couldn’t breathe suddenly.
He felt like… He felt his heart breaking.
Huan.
He closed his eyes, tears falling freely on his face.
His knees were weak suddenly, and he found himself kneeling on the thick carpet of his room. He was shivering.
Huan.
He bit his lips to stop himself from screaming.
He wanted Huan.
Something was wrong and…
He knew that something was Huan. Somehow, somewhere… His insanely infuriating companion… His oldest surviving friend…. Was gone.
He had left him… But now he was gone. Truly gone. Never again would he even have the chance to see him again, or pet him again, or hear his deep barks again.
Never again would Huan lay down, a fluffy pillow for his elven friends…
Never again would he run throughout the forest hunting or just playing.
Or perhaps, perhaps, if Oromë was more understanding than Dread Námo, perhaps Oromë will snatch Huan’s fëa back, and allow him to come back to life somehow, somewhen, to run freely in the safety of His woods…
If anyone deserved pity of the exiled… Surely Huan did?
