New Challenge: Title Track
Tolkien's titles range from epic to lyrical to metaphorical. This month's challenge selected 125 of them as prompts for fanworks.
four word prompt: future, moment, river, stray
Lúthien leads her astray, Galadriel knows. The whispers of the trees warn her, warn her of danger and deceit. But Galadriel follows the river, follows the entrancing, dancing steps of the Princess of Doriath with eyes clouded with want, with need, with desire. She knows what she was doing; she does not heed the warning. Birds twitter and swoop over their heads, crying in delight and scorn.
Lúthien leads her astray, and Galadriel follows, breath hot between their lips. Her dress tears under Lúthien’s sharp nails. Blood wells to the surface in the wake of the Princess’ teeth. They fall to the forest floor, limbs entwined. Galadriel does nothing to curb Lúthien’s desires, she takes and takes and takes. Gladly she takes what Lúthien gives her, gasping under her fingers.
When the wash of pain and pleasure finally recedes, she Sees it. She knows. The veil of the future lifts.
