Across the history of the "Silmarillion," Eönwë's role settles on a character who leads without taking upon himself the power to mete out justice and who acts with equanimity across some of the most harrowing conflicts in the early legendarium.

Long time LotR fan, but just got into the Silm in autumn 2025. I'm also Woodelf on AO3 and woodelf68 on tumblr. My faves are Maglor and Maedhros, but I now consider the entire House of Feanor my boys and am deeply invested in their well-being.
