I see a dream,  this bitter dream again.

This house of us built I  don't know when. 

  The ancient lamps are in the corners lit,  

From ancient battles we kept grandfather's shield.

  And embers  in the pile of ashes glowing...   

 And on the table a manuscript is  open. 

  My kinsman's here,  the house isn't forlorn.   

 I'm leaving now.   And there'll be no return.
