I stood there lost, alone, upon the shores
While seagulls chattered loudly in my ear
My fellow men and elves beside my side
Yet no one that I knew and none I loved
I stood there lost, alone, upon the sand
Cast out into a life I did not know
Cast out once more into the grieves of time
Into the current of despair and life
I stood there lost, alone, upon the shores
The ship that bore me here had turned away
Deserting me to lands that I once knew
To sorrow and to duty and to death.
