"Move farther north," Caranthir says to her a month after the attack, gaze steady on her even as his hands continue briskly gutting fish. "There is plenty of land closer to my fortress, and my people can help protect yours if there is another attack."
Fëanor shrugged, studying the contents of his wine glass. “Something must be done about that house. It will fall down eventually.” “It does not follow that it must be you that tears it down single-handedly. Are you sure you do not want help?” “It’s not as though I…

I'm working on the story of their adventures in Mithrim that don't have anything to do with the family council -- but I don't rule out writing about family drama if I can come up with some good enough shenanigans.
I enjoyed Alatáriel-Galadriel and Teleporno-Celeborn's trip - so dreamlike and peaceful. And with an eye to the type of places they want to live together. Lovely.
In the year 7 of the Sun, there were no Orcs nor other servants of the Enemy to speak of in western Beleriand, so it was a very (temporarily) peaceful time. I think in centuries to come Galadriel and Celeborn will remember this first long road trip in Middle-Earth very fondly.
I can so easily picture the changing countryside from your descriptions. I like details, such as noticing and enjoying the flowers while also collecting herbs... but not telling Galadriel what the fly agaric (I presume) is for. The way Celeborn dreams of sailing his swan ships again, and she's reminded of Lórien by the nightingales. The way the Sindar and Noldor become more comfortable in each others company is so true for a long trip. (If it doesn't go the other way!). I like the phrasing of "the House of Míriel and the House of Indis." Lovely little trip through Northern Beleriand, thank you!
