The Curse by Robinka

Fanwork Notes

True Blood season 4, episode 2 “You Smell Like Dinner”. Marnie, a wiccan, curses Eric Northman, a badass vampire sheriff of Area 5 in Shreveport, so that he loses his memories. But what if something goes wrong, and her curse has a totally different, not to mention that unexpected effect? Eric finds himself beyond the boundaries of time and place: in the heart of Beleriand.

A blend of my two favorite universes, not necessarily 'happily ever after' for some of the characters. The prompt is as follows (yes, it is a coincidence, but how accurate!):

Note on the Fëanorian hair-color: while I don't think that Celegorm was suddenly the blond one in the bunch of dark- and redhaired siblings ([Nerdanel]: Wth, Binka! The postman was after all a handsome Vanya, wasn't he? ;)), for the purpose of differenciating the three Beleriand men, he is blond here.

Note on True Blood universe for the non-TrueBies:

- True Blood vampires are highly sexual creatures that can move at an idiotic speed, have heightened senses, are able to glamour humans, and have other special gifts. The older vampire becomes the more powerful he/she is;

- Eric Northman is a thousand-year old Viking vampire, who can fly, among other things;

- Pam is Eric's vampire progeny;

- Bill is a vampire king of Louisiana, a Civil War veteran, and Sookie's first love interest;

- Sookie is Eric's bane, aka a part-fae telepath who should know better than to ditch him;

- Fae blood is irresistible to vampires and can make them daywalk.

Hey! This was great!! So much fun to read. What a hell of a moment and place for Eric to land on Beleriand! And Luthien is such a badass, totally in character, lol!!! Sorry for the abundance of exclamation points but it was really awesome. :D :D :D

Btw, I found you through a rec from Himring's about a Led Zep filk you did. Is it archived here at the SWG? I'm dying to read that too. :)

Yes! Haha. Yes, I imagine elf blood would taste fantastic if one had a taste for blood. I almost feel bad for Eric, tasting it and never being able to find such a delicacy again where he comes from. But it's a good thing Luthien sent him back - the First Age has enough troublemakers. Well done!
