New Challenge: Allusive
Literature and art constantly refer back to each other using allusions, and this month's prompts are inspired by allusions to literature, myth, art, and history.
Elrond is nonbinary in this, which is an idea I fell in love with from JazTheBard's Elrond.
“A Midsummer wedding,” Celebrian murmured against her beloved's kiss-swollen lips.
Elrond smiled, their eyes crinkling around the edges. They huffed a laugh. “So eager!”
Celebrian giggled, giddy with happiness. “You’ve only kept me waiting for nine hundred years! I insist on Midsummer, and this one, not the next one or one two decades from now.”
“Your wish is my command, my Lady,” they grinned. “Any other demands?”
“Only this.” She leaned forward into their space, breathing gently into their ear. “I want to braid your hair, on Midsummer. Declare before all the world that you are mine, and mine alone.”
