I am really enjoying Fëanor's perspective on these events! (Reading this is like returning to a favourite comfortable armchair.)

I really like your portrayal of Fëanor in all his emotional complexity and struggles, while at the same time being so pragmatic, which typically suits his personality. and it is soo good to read his pov on all these interactions. I am still thoroughly enjoying this and eagerly binged the most recent ten chapters. Thanks again for creating this!

I was thinking again this morning of Fëanor experiencing first hand the power and anger of the Lord of the Gap and Nargothrond Curufin and Celegorm. It was emotionally intense enough from Maedhros' and Maglor's pov, then made even more so from Fëanor's.

And then at the oppostite end of the emotional spectrum, Maedhros simply bursting into tears when Fëanor came and spoke his name, and Fëanor knowing exactly what to do in that moment, was just so beautiful.

I'm sorry I haven't commented much, but I do want to let you know how much I'm enjoying this! A couple of highlights are Fëanor's conversations and time spent with Ambarussa; and his (now) very special relationship with Fingolfin - I love how their talks seem to move so smoothly from the trivial to the profound. I also loved it when Daeron sought him out - what a generous exchange that was! Re the most recent chapters in particular, I'm so delighted to be learning more about how the strings of lights were created. :) And a further glimpse into the friendship-and-maybe-more between Celebrimbor and Maeglin is always welcome (the idea of Maeglin being able to make someone laugh makes me very happy!) I'm still hoping you might write a separate fic about them...

I'm commenting on the basis of only one reading, so apologies if I've misremembered/got anything wrong.

Your level of output and the quality of your writing continue to amaze me! Thank you so, so much for all the pleasure you give.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you're enjoying this fic--Feanor and Fingolfin's relationship is a highlight of it for me too <3

And a further glimpse into the friendship-and-maybe-more between Celebrimbor and Maeglin is always welcome (the idea of Maeglin being able to make someone laugh makes me very happy!) I'm still hoping you might write a separate fic about them...

I am purposely laying some groundwork for such a fic, though I don't have any immediate plans--it's on my hopefully-someday list, depending on what kind of idea strikes me. (:

I'm happy to hear that a Celebrimbor and Maeglin fic is still on your radar!

Re Fëanor and Fingolfin - I also meant to say how interesting (and sad) it is that it's Finarfin who seems to be struggling most to let go of his anger and the past. I wouldn't initially have expected that, but I'm realising that I haven't given nearly enough thought to Finarfin, with all he must have been through and all his hidden depths...
