I could see Finrod struggling with these feelings. He has a good teacher indeed in the ways of humans. And Finrod's influence will be carried on into how many generations of men?  I'm sure he would be shocked at the answer.

I love this! Finrod's very believable, profound thoughts, followed by 'That sounds like a dirge, Nóm' really made me smile - Bëor is so good for him. And Finrod's flower analogy is lovely and sad, but Bëor won't allow him to brood on what can never be. Beautifully done. :)
