Long centuries pass swiftly in peacetime. Eregion opens, blooms, thrives under my careful eye. My beloved Celeborn is ever at my side. It finally feels safe to carry another into our lives, a child, silver-haired and beautiful. I write in the shade of a great oak that perhaps, has seen nearly as many winters as I have. I write histories lest my sorry excuse of a family fall into legend, forgotten by all who came after. I write poems, love scribbled into every stroke of my pen. We have lived through so much, but now it is time to rest.
