A fascinating idea, those Mandos children, and worryingly plausible.

Elulindo, despite Olwe's love and care, has been through a lot. It's good that Ingwion and Laewin are apparently helping him to recover a little more.

It was nice to see some more of your take on Indis.

I am now envisaging an Art Deco steampunk airship... Except that, given that conclusion, I am not sure it will get built. Or will it somehow be merged into Vingilot?

Thank you!  I've been thinking about this for a while, what happens to children in Mandos, and there aren't really any great options. I don't know if this is better or worse than leaving them there until their parents die or arrive in Valinor...but what if that never happens?

I do think Indis builds her airship and the Vanyar has an air force for the War of Wrath. (I just changed the last line to make things a little more clear.) And yes, this also helps with the technology for Vingilot. My horrible feeling in this scenario is that the flooding of Beleriand happened because of a Vanyar bomb.

Interesting thoughts on slain children returning from Mandos. They've already been through so much, it's lovely that they have someone caring to find new homes for them, although it's yet another thing to go through.

I really like the idea of Indis taking on a Noldoran role, and ultimately bringing the three kindreds together in Valinor in their efforts to aid their kin in Middle-earth. And the concept of them having flying ships in the W.o.W. is intriguing.

Thank you so much!  It's a tough situation, I suppose this is better than the alternatives of young children Fading or being condemned to Mandos until their parents arrive or forever if they don't, but it is still awful. I feel terrible for Elulindo's Sindar parents who buried their very young child and then never found out what happened to him. I hope they'll get to see him again someday but even so when they do he will be an adult, already married, and calling someone else his father. At least I hope that he can be less judgmental towards them after the events of this story. Because, what were they supposed to do? The people who sent their children back with Arafinwe when they went to war made the opposite choice, but was that a better choice?  I don't know, this is all a mess, it's awful on the kids and also awful on the parents. At least Olwe and then Elulindo and Indis are doing their best to help the kids make the best out of their situation.

I love this Indis too, with her big round eyes and sweet smile and bombs to drop on Morgoth's head with her son's name on them and probably also a smiley face.

So glad you liked!
