As Elros awaits the coming of night, when he will set sail for Elenna, he and his brother Elrond speak about their earliest memories, what happened to their foster family, and how they learned the truth of their father and mother’s fate.

In Eriador, rumours of the recent Downfall of Numenor are spreading. In a small town inland these rumours are confirmed by the arrival of Elendil and his companions. Still inwardly reeling with shock, Elendil is confronted here with an aspect of Numenor he finds difficult to deal with.

After Ancalagon is cast down Eärendil seeks out his sons and Elrond grapples with the feelings the meeting brings.

Set in Keiliss' Sanctuary 'verse, where Erestor, Gil-galad, and Elrond road trip around modern day South Africa, looking for a missing Glorfindel. This takes place after they find him but before they return to Europe. I guess he wanted to take them to a special place special he knew, before they left.

Spurred on by the tribulations of endless rain and a leaky tent, Maglor and Maedhros find a house for Elrond, Elros and themselves to live in. However, moving is complicated by the emergence of memories of home, and a scare from Elros.

Celebrían will not stand among the crowd when Elrond arrives in Valinor, for their private griefs are theirs alone to share.

Elros recalls the journey from Sirion to Ossiriand and the early days with Maedhros and Maglor. He and Elrond struggle to cope, yet there are new discoveries and small joys still to be found.

The events of Redhorn pass cleave a distance between Celebrían and Elrond neither have felt before. That one terrible event sends shockwaves down the long years that come after.

In the wide, water-bound delta lands of the Sirion grow reeds taller than any man. Following the estuary to its end one finds the waterways open onto great white-sanded beaches, stretching as far South as half-elven eyes can behold. Elwing takes Elrond and Elros downriver to the beach for the day and together they discover small everyday wonders.
