Fanwork Notes

I had the idea for a hobbit-song after listening to 'Wildflower Jigs' by the Gothard Sisters (one of the prompts for SWG's September instadrabbling session - thank you, Anna(IdleLeaves)!)

My thinking is that this is just one, basic, version; and anyone could come up with extra lines/verses. I imagine part of the fun being that it becomes longer and longer, and faster and faster while being sung (especially the chorus, which is really only a list of flower names, in honour of the prompt, and could easily turn into a kind of memory game!)

So, if anyone reading would like to expand on this or make suggestions - please do feel free. :)

Enjoyed this! I’m always impressed when someone can write poetry that has rhythm and flows as well as this one. I can just imagine hobbits singing it as they remember that magical year when everything flowered and children could eat as much fruit as they liked without getting a tummy ache. ❤️
