I'm glad I suggested that time that you might write about Finduilas, rather off-hand, because I'd just been thinking about her.

You surprised me--in all five of the "things"--which was great!

You subvert some expectations here, but it doesn't feel as if you're just doing it for the sake of it. It's part of a coherent whole.

The part that stays with me most is the first part, Orodreth and Finduilas climbing together, although I'm sure it wouldn't be quite as effective if there weren't also the later scenes in Nargothrond and her final thoughts about him.

 



Thank you for gently prodding me to post this here! I was pondering about the suggested sixth scene, maybe with Finduilas and Lúthien... I would have wanted it to pass the Bechdel test, but it proved more challenging than I thought it would be and so will have to wait for another day.
