Really nice use of the setting for a tender story of getting together!

I am sure it will help Elrond cope and Gil-galad, too.

I liked how you used that recurring detail of the fish that eventually gets eaten after all.

Aww! This is so tender, and so real with all the awkwardness that comes of caring so much and not being sure enough. They've both been through so much they can't not have deep empathy for each other.
