This was inspired by Jenny Dolfen’s lovely painting of Nerdanel and Maedhros called “Forgiveness.” The artist and I interpret the canon slightly differently. I call mine “Nothing To Forgive.”

Thank you so much, Dawn! Thanks for reading when you are so busy and especially for taking the time to comment. "I'm usually not a fan of the same scene shown from different PoVs" I think it is one of those techniques that one is allowed once in their writing life. This is my second time, so I am really pushing! Glad it did not make you run away screaming. There was a discussion earlier (months ago) somewhere on someone's LJ about the picture. That was what started me thinking about the scene. Anyway, Maedhros is my Silm favorite originally. I come back to him for grounding.
