I feel so fortunate that you chose to do not one but TWO works of art for my presentation topic -- and they work perfectly together. There's a lot of great art depicting the finding of Elrond and Elros but this set of paintings is unique, I feel. The way Maedhros and Maglor and the twins are seen from the back and the focus is not on them so much as the ruin they left behind, at which Maedhros gazes... And how Maglor looks to him... And Elrond and Elros look to Maglor. There's so much to be said about their relationship from that alone.

But the painting of Gil-galad and Cirdan's ship arriving is especially unique. I've not seen this depicted in any fanart that I can think of and I'm so glad my presentation could inspire this piece. I love how close and intense the ruins of Sirion are, how there's a sense of urgency to the painting in contrat to the muted resignation of the second one.
