About Me

Hi! My name is Laura. I'm in my mid-twenties.

I've been a Tolkien fan since I was about seven years old, when my dad read The Hobbit to us. I read Lord of the Rings when I was ten, and then kept on reading it over and over and over.
I started reading The Silmarillion about six years ago, but then it got lost for a long time and when I finally found it again I had lost the motivation to get back into it or start over.

Fast forward to last year and I read a few articles about various parts of The Silmarillion that piqued my interest. I ordered a new copy (my old one had gotten lost in a move) and devoured it. I really can't describe how epic I found it to be. It's just awesome. I also feel like I need to read it multiple times before I can do much fanfic about it, because there's so much in there.

I have written a few Silmarillion fanfics (including a poem that I wrote quite a while back after readin The Children of Hurin which is ... ugh it's tragic, but I've read it three or four times).

A bit about me, aside from the Tolkien stuff: I'm a Christian. I have been writing stories since I was seven, and I hope to self-publish very soon (I've very recently finished the second draft of a novella). I am also a very avid (one might say obsessive) knitter.
I enjoy cool weather and rainy days.
