Wonderful exploration of Caranthir's position and status in the Silm. I really enjoyed the slightly acerbic tone- think you got that spot on- and there is such a sense of empathy and sadness in that last line. Lots of death in such a short piece, the dividing up of Beleriand between Maitimo and Nolofinwe for example, speaks volumes. Then he bursts forward in his rage- fiercely, but drops back down again. Sense of ignition, flaring rather than burning. Really well crafted piece of writing.
