New Challenge: Title Track
Tolkien's titles range from epic to lyrical to metaphorical. This month's challenge selected 125 of them as prompts for fanworks.
From Elleth's Femslash February Prompt: solitude, comforting, flicker, mend (Vanessa Carlton - Heroes and Thieves)
Findis was curled up in a contortionist’s nightmare, fast asleep, when Elemmírë finally arrived. The wide windows that would have caught the lights of the Trees were dark, curtains thrown open to catch what little flickering starlight could make its way into their tiny sitting room. Elemmírë chuckled at her lover’s mending project, abandoned, half-finished, on the floor. They lived in a comforting sort of solitude on the edges of Valimar, away from the hustle and bustle of the Vanyar courts and the path to Taniquetil. Away from everyone, and they were happy.
“Come now, darling. That can’t be comfortable.”
