Love in the Lilies (Tom/Goldberry)

Prompt: sleep, delay, river, silent

The river-daughter was sleepy when jolly Tom came by, singing a merry, rollicking song. Goldberry, River-daughter, watched silently from the deepest part of her river as he disrobed, his large hat discarded on the pile of cloth by the banks. He stretched, baring dark skin and thighs to Arien-sister’s golden rays. Whoever, whatever Tom was, Goldberry would have him, without delay. He entered her waters, eyes closed and without fear, and she crept closer. Burying her hands into his beard, she kissed him under the water-lilies. He laughed, little bubbles streaming from his merry lips, and she was loved forevermore.
