Celebrimbor had just put his dinner to bake when he heard the commotion. His front door slammed behind someone in a great hurry – but before it did, he heard cries of dismay and fear outside.
“Tarindë? What is going on out there?”
“My lord, we are betrayed. Another ring has been made – one intended to dominate them all.”
“WHAT?”
“Annatar,” she said grimly. “He worked so closely with you on the nine. I suspect he learned as much as he taught.”
It could not be.
A few seconds with the Ring of Adamant proved it was.
